BR-07 Buyer name missing
The buyer's name is missing.
What the rule says
An Invoice shall contain the Buyer name (BT-44).
The rule's official wording (CEN / KoSIT). The German XRechnung rules are published in German.
Why it happens
The customer's name (BT-44) is empty.
How to fix it
Add the customer's full legal name to the customer record, then create the invoice again.
Applies to
Every EN 16931 e-invoice: XRechnung, ZUGFeRD / Factur-X, Peppol and others.
More about BR-07
The buyer name is who the invoice is addressed to. It has to be on every invoice by law (§ 14 (4) No. 1 UStG), and for a business customer it should be the full registered name, because that's what their accounts department checks the invoice against.
For a private customer, use the person's full name. For a public body, use the name of the authority or office as it appears in the order; the routing itself is done with the buyer reference (BT-10), not the name.

Typical situations
- The customer was saved with only a contact person and no company name.
- A quick one-off invoice was made without creating a customer record.
- The customer was imported from another program and the name column didn't come across.
