BR-08 Seller address missing
The seller's postal address is missing.
What the rule says
An Invoice shall contain the Seller postal address (BG-5).
The rule's official wording (CEN / KoSIT). The German XRechnung rules are published in German.
Why it happens
The invoice has no postal address for the seller (BG-5).
How to fix it
Add your street, postcode, city and country to your company settings.
Applies to
Every EN 16931 e-invoice: XRechnung, ZUGFeRD / Factur-X, Peppol and others.
More about BR-08
The seller's full address is a legal requirement on invoices (§ 14 (4) No. 1 UStG) and tells the buyer which country's VAT rules the seller falls under. BR-08 fires when the address group is missing entirely; if the group is there but the country is missing, you get BR-09 instead.
In the European standard only the country is strictly required inside the address. XRechnung is stricter and also requires the city (BR-DE-3) and the post code (BR-DE-4), so add the whole address at once.

Typical situations
- The address is only printed in the PDF letterhead or footer, not entered as data.
- The company settings have the address in a single free-text field the exporter can't split.
