BR-DE-5 XRechnung: seller contact name missing
XRechnung requires a contact name for the seller.
What the rule says
Das Element "Seller contact point" (BT-41) muss übermittelt werden.
The rule's official wording (CEN / KoSIT). The German XRechnung rules are published in German.
Why it happens
The seller contact has no name (BT-41).
How to fix it
Add a contact person or department name, such as "Accounts" or "Buchhaltung".
Applies to
XRechnung only (German rules by KoSIT).
More about BR-DE-5
The seller contact exists, but it has no name. XRechnung requires a contact point: the person or department the buyer can ask about the invoice. In CII it's written as PersonName or DepartmentName; in UBL as the contact's Name.
A department works just as well as a person: "Accounts", "Buchhaltung" or "Rechnungswesen". If you're self-employed, simply use your own name.
The fields involved
- BT-41 Seller contact point
- CII
ram:DefinedTradeContact/ram:PersonName (or ram:DepartmentName) - UBL
cac:Contact/cbc:Name
Typical situations
- Phone and email were entered, but the contact name was left empty.
- The software writes the company name somewhere else and leaves the contact name blank.
Example
A contact with a department name (CII):
<ram:DefinedTradeContact>
<ram:DepartmentName>Buchhaltung</ram:DepartmentName>
...
</ram:DefinedTradeContact>
